In around mid 1980s, people only had two options for playing games, either a computer game, or with video games consoles. Although PCs were not as complex as today, but there was a constant change in them. For example, screen resolutions, processors, processing speeds all changed. And the options were limited to what we can afford.

For using a PC, one must know how to use it for different types of software that it uses. An expert could tune the system to get better performance from it, which is required for playing most PC games. The advanced games have forced the upgradation of these machines. And the concept of console was used to get them work with each new game. Its quite convenient to buy a console and start playing it within few minutes. And due to this the demand of these useful devices has increased with the time.

By just plugging these consoles an individual can always play any game that he/she has bought. Providing this kind of convenience, they have always leaded in sales. And those which wandered from this basic principle have lost sales, or have gone out of business. It was initiated by the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES), which was introduced in 1985. Making money from online games is the dream of a TON of those in the online gaming community. Can you just for a split second imagine how rewarding it would be to make your entire living in the one category you know better than anyone?

A quick note (as if you weren’t aware) online multiplayer gaming has exploded onto the scene in a way that almost none of us could have imagines. In 1999 the online gaming industry watched as a meager (”meager”) $2.2 billion dollars rolled in. In 2006, that number was an insane $26 billion!

But the game is hardly over there as the 2009 projections expect that the money from online games will be about $55 billion.

That’s billion with a very lovely ‘b’.

There is FINALLY a way for the gaming community to cash in on the craze it is actually responsible for. A way to not only introduce others to online games by allowing them to be tried for FREE, but there is also a way to do this on a much larger scale and to offer people their own online multiplayer distributorships!

Online computer games are video games that are played in a network, such as the internet or an internal office network. Its popularity started out from small local networks and extended online. As more and more people gained access to the World Wide Web, online games have likewise been a fast-growing segment for internet-based industries such as software developers and gaming console manufacturers.

There are a large number of games available online, ranging from the simple, text based games to role playing games imbedded with complex graphics and virtual environments that many players can access at the same time. Most online games now have organized online communities where its players can interact with other players; thus, making online games a social activity.

The online games popular during the 80s include Scrabble Clones, Chess and other board games. There were also online games that had fantasy settings that were played on a BBS using a modem. However, the high fees charged for online access diverted the set-up of some of these games from being played online into play-by-email games.
